„XJAZZ! Festival Live #1“ is the label's first compilation, created in anticipation of Berlin's XJAZZ! Festival and gathering music from artists set to perform at the event. The album embodies the festival's ethos — the breaking of boundaries, the merging of styles and expression without restraints — deliberately stretching the notion of jazz beyond its traditional definitions. Among the acts featured are Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Ralph Heidel, German singer and producer Leona Berlin, whose hip-hop-inflected alternative R&B captures the essence of the festival, and the female producer and artist collective Monika Werkstatt, which recorded an improvised piece especially for the release. The compilation creates a welcoming environment for a varied range of music that expands the traditional definition of jazz into a contemporary, genre-blending landscape. „Festival Live #1“ was released on 18 March 2022.
