lucid fluid is the debut album from the same-titled Berlin/New York-based trio featuring pianist Jakob Reisener, bassist Pelle Buschmann, and drummer Jonas Friese. Embodying its name, the band balances clarity in the moment with constant motion. Contributed equally by all three members, the compositions draw from jazz tradition, modern groove structures, and pop influences. Built on years of shared trust and a democratic approach to making music, the album uses these pieces as a launching pad to tell collective stories, striking a fine balance between structural focus and spontaneous improvisation.
